Abstrakt: V štúdii analyzujeme pôsobenie Antona Štefánka na pozícii ministra školstva a národnej osvety v roku 1929. Po základných údajoch a predstavení osobnosti A. Štefánka sa zameriavame na program Ankety Ministerstva školstva a národnej osvety z apríla 1929. Cieľom Ankety bolo zjednotenie názorov na reorganizáciu školstva v zmysle jednotnej školy. V tejto súvislosti príspevok predstavuje osobné názory A. Štefánka na túto problematiku.

Abstract: The study analyses the work of Anton Štefánek as a minister of education and national enlightenment in 1929. After presenting basic facts and introducing A. Štefánek the article focuses on the agenda of the Session of the Ministry of education and national enlightenment (officially termed as Anketa of the Ministry of Education and National Enlightenment) of April 1929. The aim of the Session was to unify opinions about the reorganization of the system of education in terms of a unified schooling system. In this regard, the article presents personal views of A. Štefánek concerning this matter.

Abstrakt: Naša práca je teoreticko výskumného typu. V teoretickej časti sme sa zamerali na sebahodnotenie, zadefinovali sme sebahodnotenie ako také, hlavné aspekty sebahodnotenia a jeho vzniku. Pozornosť sme zamerali na Rosenbergovu škálu sebahodnotenia a výskum D. Schmitta. Vo výskumnej časti sme sa pokúsili zistiť súčasný stav vybraných Európskych krajín v miere sebahodnotenia.

Abstract: Our work is theoretical-research type. In the theoretical part, we focused on self-esteem, we define self-esteem and the main aspects of it. In this work we are focused on Rosenberg self-esteem scale and research D. Schmitt. In the research area, we tried to find out current status of selected European countries in the extent of self-esteem.

Abstrakt: V článku je krátce představena první česká filosofka Albína Dratvová (1892-1969) a její snahy zlepšit výuku filosofie na středních školách. Měla zkušenosti jako učitelka na gymnáziu, přednášela filosofii na univerzitě a pracovala na ministerstvu školství. Ve svých knihách a článcích se vyjadřovala k výchově a vzdělávání žen, výuce logiky a psychologie.

Abstract: In the article the first Czech woman philosopher Albína Dratvová (1892-1969 )is shortly introduced and her efforts to improve the style of teaching philosophy at secondary schools. She was experienced as a gymnasium teacher, was appointed a senior lecturer of philosophy and she worked at Ministry of Education. She commented on education of women, teaching logic and psychology in her books and articles.

#5 A Survey of Basic Facilities and Service Provision for the Successful Inclusion of the Students with Hearing Impairment in Inklusive Education Setting in Cross River, Akwa IBOM & Rivers State of Nigeria

Abstrakt: Obviously, since the challenges of life change with time, education should aim at bringing up children with hearing impairment to face these changes and make necessary adjustment in their lives for successful living. Hence education programs and service provisions should therefore be dynamic. To realise these important functions, programs and services designed for the students with hearing impairment in an inclusive education setting should not be on exemption, since the society itself is dynamic in many respects, its fundamental needs equally change with time which hitherto makes societal objective changes also, owing to advancement in scientific inventions, innovation in trends and practices of inclusive education. Bearing this in mind, this paper sought to ascertain the level of provision and availability of basic facilities and services necessary for the successful inclusion of students with hearing impairment. The survey focused on the availability and use of assistive technology devices by the hearing impaired students, recruitment and training of teaching and supportive staff, communication strategies adapted by the teachers, medical and socials services .Data were collected using a Likert-like questionnaire from the sampled secondary schools in the states under investigation. The researcher analysed the data using the Pearson Product Moment Correlation co-efficient. The results revealed that much is yet to be put in place in the states under study for the successful inclusion of students with hearing impairment into inclusive education setting.

Abstrakt: This paper highlights the meaning of concept development in relation to orientation and mobility of visually impaired, blind and even the sighted children. Techniques to help children develop good concepts such as shapes of objects, street configurations, grid patterns, building layouts and descriptive terms in relation to shapes and objects were considered. The importance of concept development in both sighted and blind children, namely; basic concepts as a factor for motivating environmental exploration, body concepts, parts of the body and their functions. Concepts related to travel; schooling and daily living activities are discussed. It further considered body image in relation to concept development, spatial and environmental concepts. The role of a specialist teacher in Orientation and Mobility as well as the assessment of concept development in sighted and blind children was examined.
