Vážené čtenářky a čtenáři,

po delším čase Vás vítám u nového čísla našeho časopisu. Jak jste jistě zaregistrovali, vychází s poměrně velkým zpožděním, což je dáno především transformačním procesem časopisu. Ten jsme avizovali již v dřívějších číslech, nicméně představuje větší výzvu, než jsme si v redakci původně mysleli.

Abychom vyšli vstříc autorům, kteří řadu měsíců čekali na zveřejnění svých prací, rozhodli jsme se prodloužit stávající formát časopisu do konce roku 2021, tedy ještě pro připravovaná čísla 1 a 2 ročníku 2021. Ty by měly vyjít v průběhu prvního pololetí 2022 a uzavřít tak starou kapitolu vydávání časopisu. Již v průběhu prvního pololetí 2022 bude otevřena možnost pro publikaci článků do nové podoby časopisu, která přinese zásadní vydavatelské změny. Nejpodstatnější z nich bude průběžné vydávání článků v právě otevřeném čísle ihned po dokončení recenzního řízení. Na této změně panuje všeobecná shoda jak v redakci, tak u oslovených členů redakční rady. Ostatní změny budou ještě podrobeny hlubší diskusi.

Děkuji všem čtenářům i autorům za trpělivost s naším časopisem a pevně doufám, že i přes veškeré změny bude nadále pokračovat jeho již váce než dvacetiletá historie.

After a long time, welcome to the new issue of our journal. As you may have noticed, it comes out with a relatively long delay, which is mainly due to the transformation process of the journal. We have already announced this in previous issues, but it represents a greater challenge than we in the editorial team originally thought.

In order to meet the needs of authors who have been waiting for many months for the publication of their work, we have decided to extend the current format of the journal until the end of 2021, i.e. for the upcoming issues 1 and 2 of the year 2021. These should be published during the first half of 2022 and thus close the old chapter of the journal. Already during the first half of 2022 the opportunity will be open for the publication of articles for the new format of the journal, which will bring major editorial changes. The most significant of these will be the continuous publication of articles in the currently open issue immediately after the review process is completed. There is general agreement on this change both in the editorial office and among the editorial board members contacted. The other changes will be subject to more in-depth discussion.

I thank all readers and authors for their patience with our journal and I sincerely hope that, despite all the changes, its more than twenty-year history will continue.
