Vážené čtenářky a čtenáři,

vítejte u prvního čísla časopisu Paidagogos v roce 2017. I v tomto čísle naleznete řadu zajímavách studií. Za pozornost jistě stojí článek Vladimíra Smékala syntetizující pohled na hodnotovou formaci a její úlohu v součastné společnosti. Stejně tak hodnotné je zamyšlení Vlasty Řeřichové a Jany Sladové nad možnostmi využití současné literatury při výchově k hodnotám. Z oblasti speciální pedagogiky jistě zaujme článek Miloně Potměšila a Guo Linga o stavu současného výzkumu podpory dětí se specifickými potřebami v Číně. Nepochybně pozoruhodnou je také filosofická úvaha Cristóbala Serrán-Pagána o koincidenci protiv u Thomase Mertona a Zhuangziho jako východiska pro využití jazykových paradoxů při výuce na univerzitách.

welcome to the first issue of Paidagogos journal in 2017. Even in this issue you can find many interesting papers. The article by Vladimír Smékal synthesizing the view on values formation and its role in contemporary society stands for attention. Equally valuable is the reflection by Vlasta Řeřichová and Jana Sladová about the opportunities to use contemporary literature for children and youth in the values education. From the field of special education is surely interesting paper by Miloň Potměšil and Guo Ling concerning the near past and nowadays research focused on exceptional children in China. There is no doubt that the study by Cristóbal Serrán-Pagán about the coincidence of opposites in Thomas Merton and Zhuangzi and its use in classroom at university level is also remarkable.
