Vážené čtenářky a čtenáři,

po delší době Vás opět vítám při čtení nového čísla našeho časopisu. Rok 2020 byl pro mnohé z nás plný překvapení. Především se všichni vyrovnáváme s pandemií nemoci COVID-19, která se dotkla i vydávání našeho časopisu. Autoři článků, redaktoři i recenzenti byli značně vytíženi změnami ve výuce i ve výzkumu a nebylo možné se věnovat v běžném rozsahu přípravě, recenzím, úpravám a vydávání článků. Tato obtížná doba dostud nepominula, ale podařilo se nám připravit k vydání první číslo ročníku 2020.

V minulém roce jsme avizovali změnu ve vydávání časopisu a zahájení průběžného vydávání v roce 2020, nicméně tento příslib musíme z technických důvodů přesunout do roku 2021. Pro rok 2021 rovněž chystáme nová pravidla pro autory a recenzenty, která by měla časopis Paidagogos kvalitatativně posunout a nasměrovat k budoucí indexaci v některé z klíčových databází (WoS, Scopus). Toto úsilí potrvá přibližně 2 roky a bude vyžadovat blízkou spolupráci autorů, recenzentů i vydavatele časopisu. Těšíme se v této věci na spolupráci s Vámi.

it's been a long time since we published last issue of our journal and now I would like to invite you to read new one, the first in 2020. The year 2020 was full of surprise for all of us. We all need to face the COVID-19 disease pandemic which affected almost all aspects of our lives, including the publishing of our journal. The authors, editors and reviewers were considerably loaded by the changes in both education and research and it was not possible to work additionally on articles, reviews and editorial tasks. This difficult time is definitely not over yet but we managed the new issue, the first in the year 2020, to be published.

In the last year we announced the change in Paidagogos publishing and start of continuous paper issuing in 2020. We were not able to keep this promise because of technical reasons. We plan to start this change in 2021 together with new publication and quality assurance rules for authors and reviewers which would lead to higher quality of the journal and open the way for indexing in some well recognized citation database (WoS or/and Scopus). We suppose this change will take about 2 years and will make new claims to authors, reviewers and the editorial board. We are looking for cooperation with you on this intention and we believe it will bring a completely new opportunities for all of us.
