| The aim of this contributin is to furnish basic informations about media education and to show the teachers a project, which they can use in their lessons of media education.
Media education is according to the Framework educational programm one of the six cross-sectional themes. The aim of media education is to equip pupils with the base level of media literacy. We can found the first ideas about media education in the work of J.A. Komenský, but we have paid attention to this problem since 1990´s in our republic. The number of books and the number of seminars for teachers has grown in the last years, nevertheless exactly the lack of materials and informedness and competency of our teachers are a big problem. That exactly is the reason, that one part of this contribution is a project, which can teachers use in their lessons.

| The question of how to deal with people in coma and deep altered states evokes profound ethical, medical and legal discussions and various, often contradictory opinions. The aim of this article is to present the latest medical and psychological knowledge about the people in coma and point out, that this people are in specific conditions able to percieve and communicate with their surrounding. The article presents new possibilities of building a communication with these people. They are specific for the "humane medicine", which apart from life functions of the patient takes into account also psychological, environmental and social factors. These methods can therefore be very helpful in improvement of quality of life, rehabilitation and social integration of these people.

| We examined Slovakian students attitudes toward biology. We used 30 item Likert type scale divided into six dimensions (importance, interest, difficulty, teacher, equipment, and career). The main factors that affected students attitudes were age of students and the effect of teacher. Gender differences were relatively less important. Students studying zoology exhibited significantly more positive attitudes toward biology than others students. Although the mean score of measured dimensions was positive, dimension career showed a negative score which suggests that students have low interest toward biology related jobs.
